1. Dali

Dali is located between 99 58' - 100 27' east longitude and 25 25' - 25 58' north latitude, and in the northwest of Yunnan province. Its neighboring areas are Sichuan province and Guizhou Province; Tibet Autonomous Region and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.The nationalities in there are Han, Hui, Bai, Yi and Tibetan.There are totally 3.19 million populations and including 486,800 urban populations. The size of the area is 28,536 sq km. This area is the capital of Nanzhao State; the political, cultural and economic center of Yunnan in the ancient history. The climatic features there is sub-tropical monsoon climate with annual frost-free of 230 days, and sunlight of 2276.6 hours, not much difference between 4 reasons. |
2. Lijiang

5. Hongcun

It’s evolved in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, is located in a beautiful surrounding, with green hills around and clear streams winding through. The running water flows in the winding ditches to every household, and is finally gathered in a little lake at the entrance of the village. 6. Huanglongxi

It’s an old town with deep tradition on construction style of West Sichuan., around 50 kilometers from Chengdu, a popular scenic spot in recent years. The Qing Dynasty style buildings here are well preserved and attract so many film makers to shoot exterior views; it has become knowold temples in Huanglongxi, Zhenjiang Temple, Chaoyin Temple and Gulong Temple. On the ninth day of the sixth and ninth lunar month, temple fairs recreate the lively scenes of olden days.

7. Shangri-la

8. Longmen

The town used to be a key link between East and West Zheijang. It was named Longmen, the dragon’s gate after a poem by the ancient poet Yan Ziling.
Ancient Longmen Town is located in the South of Changjiang Rive. It showcases one of the most perfect examples of Qing or Ming Dynasty architecture with little more than 30 intact ancient buildings. The town has 2,600 households and descendants of the imperial Sun Family are said to have been residing here for over 65 generations.
The Longmen Mountain nearby has a beautiful waterfall considered to have the biggest fall in Hangzhou.

9. Pingyao

Pingyao city was first built in Western Zhou Dynasty, and has a history of 1500 years. The ancient city wall now in existence was built over the old one, which was renovated in 1370 and it has a history of over 600 years.
Pingyao ancient city is square in shape. There are 6 gates in the city, including one south gate, one north gate, two east gates and two west gats; There are four watchtowers on the four corners of the city wall. On the southeast corner of the old city wall stands "Kuixing tower" and " Wenchang attic". There is city moat around the city; along the moat is the Yang, Liu, Huai trees. The city is small but it is impregnable.
Pingyao city has preserved lots of ancient buildings and cultural relics. All of them show us the great attainments of the wood structure and painted sculpture. The polished lacquer ware and the braised beef of Pingyao city represent the lacquer ware and the diet culture of Pingyao city.
