Day 01 Hometown / Beijing

Arrive in Beijing, the Capital of China and home to many wonders. To be met at the airport then transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the first day.

Day 02 Beijing

In the morning, you will initially visit the Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of TCM, one of the best TCM universities in China, where you will witness how the traditional Chinese medical therapies cure patients and take magical effect. You will also visit Tong RenTang Pharmacy of Beijing, which is the largest chain store of Chinese herbal medicine. After lunch, you will be given a lecture about Chinese traditional medicine and the science of Chinese herbs. In the evening enjoy the Peking Roasted Duck which is renowned as the most delicious food of Beijing. (B/L/SD)

Day 03 Beijing

After breakfast, you will visit the marvelous Great Wall at Badaling, the most outstanding representation of Great Wall. In the afternoon, you will take a leisure tour around the ancient alleyways of Beijing’s Hutong, one of Beijing’s 700-year-old traditional cottage neighborhoods. In the evening, you will enjoy a Beijing Acrobatic Show. (B/L/D)

Day 04 Beijing

A free day explores Beijing city on your own. (B/L/D)

Day 05 Beijing / Chengdu

Take a morning flight to Chengdu, “the town of TCM”, which is the capital of Sichuan province. To be met at the airport then transferred to your hotel. After lunch, take the bus to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Pandas Breeding, a non-profit organization for the study and protection of the giant panda. In the evening, Sichuan-style dishes will be serviced. (B/L/SD)

Day 06 Chengdu

In the morning, take bus to Chengdu University of TCM, one of the four earliest-built TCM universities in China. Firstly, take a tour around the Old Campus with strong TCM atmosphere and visit the School Library. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the New Campus, where variety of traditional Chinese herbs can be seen with your own eyes and the combination of traditional & contemporary TCM can be appreciated. At last, visit the School Museum, where ancient TCM books, different ancient tools to make herbal medicine, precious traditional Chinese herbs, as well as paintings, seal carvings, china… with unique Chinese characteristics will be presented. In the evening, you will enjoy the special medicined hotpot. (B/L/SD）

Day 07 Chengdu

In the morning, you’ll visit the Medicinal Herds Market in Wu kuai shi, the largest one in the southwest part of China, the professional local guide with TCM background will teach you how to recognize the genuine Chinese herbs. After lunch, go back to Chengdu University of TCM, where the professional coach will teach you to practice T'ai Chi Ch'uan, which is a Chinese form of exercise derived from Taoism, one of China's oldest belief systems. The practice of Tai Chi Chuan is beneficial to health and it is also a subtle, sophisticated and scientific method of self-defense.（B/L/D）

Day 08 Chengdu

In the morning, you will be given a lecture about acupuncture-operating & Chinese massage in the school laboratory, then practice under the guidance of the tutor. In the afternoon, take a walk around the People’s Park, where you can taste tea and enjoy local people’s life. Then, you will also visit Jinli Street, an ancient architecture building. In the evening, you will enjoy one of the world intangible heritage “Sichuan Opera”. (B/L/D)

Day 09 Chengdu / Shanghai

Depart for your flight to Shanghai in the morning, China’s largest city and seaport, also the citadel of China's modern economy. Be met and transferred to your hotel. After that, you will visit the Bund. Have a stroll along the waterfront to experience the smells, sights and sounds of the old "Wall Street" in Shanghai. You also have a chance to visit famous Nanjing Road among crowds. Proceed to the famous Shanghai Museum, its rich and high-quality collection of ancient Chinese bronze, ceramics, painting and calligraphy is specially celebrated in the world. Afterwards, visit the 400-year old Yu Yuan Garden. This evening you'll enjoy an amazing Acrobatic Show. (L/D)

Day 10 Shanghai ~ Suzhou ~ Tongli (Water Village)

This morning, transfer to Suzhou; visit the Humble Administrator's Garden, the largest classical garden in Suzhou and one of the four most famous ones in China. Originally built in 1513 AD, the garden is typical example of the art of horticulture south of the Changjiang River. Then visit the No1 Silk Factory, where you will see closely the different procedures before the silk is created. (B/L/D)

Day 11 Shanghai

A free day explores Shanghai on your own. Bid farewell to Shanghai. (B/L/D)

Day 12 Shanghai / Hometown

Depart for your hometown in the morning. (B)
